Geek.Kon is Madison Wisconsin’s very own anime convention, sci-fi convention, and gaming convention all rolled into one! As the name implies, Geek.Kon is a place to celebrate all that is geeky from strong foundations in anime, science fiction, video gaming, tabletop gaming, and costuming to up and coming fandoms like steampunk and gothic lolita. From Lord of the Rings to Doctor Who, Mario to Solid Snake, Geek.Kon covers it all.

AND PEGASUS WILL BE THERE – in the dealer room and in the gaming rooms.

FRIDAY, August 25     6 pm

We try to get Magic cards into the hands of our regular players.

To this end, for the first 2 weeks after release of specialty sets like Commander, Modern Masters, and From the Vault, they are offered ONLY to our players on Fridays and Thursdays by random drawing for attendees.

After those 2 weeks, any we still have will be available for general sale.

SUNDAY, July 30    11 am

Main Event:  ROC 2017 Super Qualifier
Registration will begin at 11:00 am and end at 11:59 am
$20.00                     Start time: 12:00 pm

Format: 300 points, modern age
Swiss with a cut to Single Elimination, number of rounds will be determined by attendance as per ROC rules.

Prizes:
* 1st Place – 20 points + Championship Bye to Semi Finals or a Regional bye into Single elimination Finals, set of dice and 2 tokens + map, trophy, HC Realms Gold Membership, Top 8 ROC pin + LE
* 2nd Place – 20 points, set of dice and 2 tokens + map, Top 8 ROC pin + LE
* 3rd/4th Place – 10 points, set of dice and 2 tokens + map, Top 8 ROC pin
* 5th-8th Place – 5 points, set of dice and 2 tokens + map, Top 8 ROC pin
* 9th-16th Place – 3 points, set of dice and 2 tokens
* 17th-32nd Place – 2 points, set of dice and 2 tokens
18 additional sets of dice, additional tokens, and more to be announced to be used in any of the events throughout the day

Win-A-Brick:
$15, when the 8th person signs up a pod of this event will fire

3 rounds (standard 45 minute rounds), single elimination, first place wins a brick!

Win-A-Feed
$8, when the 8th person signs up a pod of this event will fire
300 points, modern age, constructed
3 rounds (standard 45 minute rounds), single elimination, first place wins a gravity feed countertop display!

Battle Royale
$14 for a 5-figure booster or $15 for five 1-figure boosters, when the 4th person signs up a pod can fire
Everyone receives 5 figures worth of boosters, drafts the figures with 3 other players, then plays all 5 characters they drafted
50 minutes, the last man standing wins (or if more than one player still has figures, the player with the most points)
Players will snake draft the figures opened along with additional prize(s) thrown into each pod

SUNDAY, July 23        Noon

Entry: $30.00
Each participant will receive a special Prerelease box containing a 22-card Evolution pack to provide a solid foundation, plus four 10-card booster packs and an exclusive foil promo card. Players will use the cards from their Prerelease box, plus basic Energy cards provided by the Tournament Organizer, to build a 40-card deck.

We will play 3 rounds lasting 20 minutes each after players build their decks.

After the tournament, all players will receive 3 more booster packs.
